✈️ Mini Jet Airplane
Build your very own LEGO jet that's ready for takeoff! Simple steps, big fun.
🧩 What You'll Need
📋 Step-by-Step Instructions
📋 What to do
Lay two 2×6 red bricks side by side lengthwise on your flat building surface. They should line up perfectly to make a long, thin rectangle — this is the belly of your jet!
- 2× 2×6 Red Brick

📋 What to do
Place two 2×4 red bricks on top of the fuselage from Step 1. Stack them in the middle section — offset them by 2 studs from each end so the jet looks more narrow and sleek at the front.
- 2× 2×4 Red Brick
📋 What to do
Take the 2×2 slope brick (the red wedge-shaped one) and clip it onto the very front of your fuselage. The sloped side faces forward so it looks like a real fighter jet nose!
Then add a 2×2 red brick right behind it to connect the slope to the rest of the body.
- 1× Slope 2×2 Red (nose cone)
- 1× 2×2 Red Brick
📋 What to do
Stack a 2×2 red brick on top of the body toward the front (about 2 studs back from the nose). This is the cockpit platform.
Now place the transparent blue 2×2 brick on top of that red brick. This is the pilot's windshield — it catches the light and looks amazing!
- 1× 2×2 Red Brick (cockpit base)
- 1× 2×2 Transparent Blue Brick
📋 What to do
Take the two 1×6 red plates and attach them on either side of the fuselage, in the middle section. Each wing sticks out 3 studs to each side.
Then add a 1×4 red plate on top of each 1×6 plate to make the wings thicker and stronger. Clip them flush with the outer edge of each wing.
- 2× 1×6 Red Plate
- 2× 1×4 Red Plate
📋 What to do
Snap the two 1×2 yellow plates on the top of the fuselage — one near the front and one near the back. These are the jet's racing stripes!
Then press the 1×4 green tile lengthwise down the middle of the top body as a long racing stripe. It runs from just behind the cockpit to the tail.
- 2× 1×2 Yellow Plate
- 1× 1×4 Green Tile

📋 What to do
At the very back of your jet, attach the 1×4 red plate flat across the tail. This is the horizontal tail stabilizer.
Now stand a 1×2 red brick upright on top of the tail plate, right in the center. This is the vertical tail fin — it sticks up like a real jet's rudder!
- 1× 1×4 Red Plate (horizontal tail)
- 1× 1×2 Red Brick (vertical fin)
📋 What to do
Place the two 1×1 orange round bricks on the underside of each wing, near where the wing meets the body. These are your jet engines!
They should sit right at the back third of each wing to look like real engine pods.
- 2× 1×1 Orange Round Brick

📋 What to do
Flip your jet upside down carefully. Clip the two 2×2 dark grey plates to the underside of the fuselage — one near the front and one in the middle.
These flat grey bricks act as the landing gear skids so your jet can sit flat on a table without tipping over.
- 2× 2×2 Dark Grey Plate
📋 What to do
Press one 1×1 yellow stud onto each wingtip — these are the navigation lights that all real jets have. Add the remaining two studs on either side of the cockpit as decorative details.
Stand back and admire your finished Mini Jet Airplane! You did it! 🎉
- 4× 1×1 Yellow Stud (round)
🎨 Try These Cool Variations!
Stealth Jet
Replace all red with dark blue or black bricks. Add a white cockpit for a secret agent vibe!
Sunshine Flyer
Use yellow for the body and orange for wings. Add a red stripe and it looks like a bumble-bee jet!
Jungle Racer
Swap the red for green and add brown 1×1 studs as camo spots. Perfect for jungle missions!
